Pastoral Council meeting on Sunday, March 1st

There will be a special Pastoral Council meeting on Sunday, March 1st, at the Holy Name Church Hall after the Mass & merienda, 3:00 PM, to plan & discuss the upcoming Filipino Apostolate events:
(1) Lenten Retreat or Recollection scheduled on Saturday, March 28th
(2) Easter Sunday Mass celebration on April 12th.


We are also extending the invitation to the West Roxbury Chapter officers/members to attend the meeting. We need your input for the festivities.

Support our Troops and St. Joseph's Church

Let us help St. Joseph's Church collect items needed by our troops who are fighting for our freedom and way of life. These articles will be sent to members of our military through Local Heroes Inc., a non-profit organization that supports our servicemen/women and their families. Please bring your donations (see list below) in a plastic bag labeled Filipino Apostolate to the second Sunday Mass in St. Joseph's, Malden on February 8th. There will be a box labeled Filipino Apostolate/ Local Heroes where you can drop these contributions.

What we need: Fruit Cups, Cup-a-Soup, Chunky Soup, Chef Boyardee, pretzels, raisins, oatmeal/Granola Bars, Rice Krispie Treats, flashlights, batteries, peanut butter, jelly, Twizzlers, Sunflower Seeds, Chex Mix, Beef Jerky, toothbrush, toothpaste, powdered drink mix, coffee/tea/hot cocoa, sugar packets, creamer, gum/candy, instant oatmeal, lip balm, shaving cream, Mach 3 Razors, stick deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, foot powder, ear swabs, mouthwash, nail clippers, toilet paper, baby wipes, tissues, hand/foot warmers, sunscreen and hand sanitizer, socks, movies vhs/dvd, crossword puzzles, playing cards, magazines/books, Band-Aids, feminine products, stationary, hairbrush/combs, windshield cleaner/wipes, phone cards international use, hometown clothing, footballs, gloves, T-shirts and long johns.
