We are looking for 8 ushers/usherettes for Saturday, Aug. 22, 9 AM memorial mass at St. Ignatius church (Boston college), Chestnut Hill.
We will need ushers to welcome people, to direct them to signing in the condolence book (which will be send to the aquino family), and to make sure people don't sit way back from the altar. St. Ignatius church tends to be narrow and long, so this is particularly important. I expect we'll need the ushers to do their job until perhaps after the homily. We need the ushers to get people to move out of the church quickly after mass. We need to vacate the church premises/parking lot by 10:45 a.m. there's a wedding rehearsal at 11 a.m.
Suggested attire for ushers: barong or white shirt & black pants.
Request ushers to be in church before 8:30 a.m. for briefing before the attendees start coming.
