This is a nice Thanksgiving tradition to help build a sense of gratefulness. You can use plain loose paper and pencil in an open box or basket which is placed on a central spot in your home. Family members will jot things they are grateful for. Spelling does not matter and entries do not have to be in complete sentences. It may be small such as taking time to play outside before dinner, or large - an upcoming vacation. Children may use drawings. Every so often past entries can be read out loud so families can remember together just how much you have to give thanks for.
